Requirements To Becoming A New Jersey Real Estate Agent

Must be 18 years of age to take the NJ Real Estate Exam
Must sign up and complete the 75 hours pre-licensing real estate course
Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
Must have good moral character
Must pass the NJ Real Estate Commission State Exam For Salesperson
Background check and fingerprints will be required by the NJ Real Estate Commission once you have passed the NJ Real Estate Exam

Classes are held M,W,F - 9am -5:30 pm

This course is required by the NJ Real Estate Commission prior to taking the New Jersey Real Estate Exam. Tuition includes course eBook, training materials, official course transcript, and course final exam.

Eligibility For An NJ Broker's License

Must have been continuously licensed as a salesperson for at least the 3 years immediately preceding such application with no gaps in your license
Mush have completed the 90-hour general broker's prelicensure course and the two 30-hour courses referred to in N.J.A.C. 11:5-2.1(g)
If the applicant was employed in any other occupation during the three-year period, such other employment was on a part-time basis and did not exceed 25 hours per calendar week

General Broker Course (90 Hours) - T & Th

1 of 3 Required Courses In The Broker Series- Class meet online from 9 am to 4:30 pm (Tues. & Thurs.) Cost $499

To be eligible for Broker classes you must have 3 years of full-time experience as a Real Estate Salesperson with no gaps in your license history. Please check with the NJ REC first before signing up for this course to make sure you have the 3 years of full-time experience. Agents are responsible for knowing their own license history prior to signing up. If you are already a Broker in another state then you may be eligible to have this course waived by applying for a waiver from the NJ REC.
